1. What SayLy Does

SayLy is a real-time translation app that helps you communicate in Japanese. It provides keyboard translation, voice translation, and reverse translation features across 5 language pairs.

2. Data We Process

• Voice audio: Processed on-device by Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Audio is never sent to our servers.
• Translation text: Your typed or spoken text is sent to Google's Gemini API for translation. Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy. We do not store this text on our servers.
• Translation history: Stored locally on your device only. We cannot access it.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information
• We do not collect device identifiers or track you across apps
• We do not collect location data
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs
• We do not share data with third parties for advertising

4. Keyboard Extension

SayLy's keyboard extension requires "Full Access" to connect to the translation API. With Full Access enabled, the keyboard can send your typed text to Google Gemini for translation. We do not log, store, or monitor your keystrokes.

5. Subscriptions

SayLy Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information.

6. Children's Privacy

SayLy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Data Security

All API communication uses HTTPS encryption. Your translation data is processed in transit and not persisted on any server.

8. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to delete or export. Your local translation history can be deleted within the app at any time.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
