Lilith Games' new title, Clash of Critters, has generated $45.6 million in gross player spending within four months of its global launch on major app stores. The game was released globally in May 2026, followed by its official launch in Japan in July, which significantly boosted earnings in the third and fourth months. According to PocketGamer.biz, the game's fourth month saw a record revenue of $19.1 million, accounting for 42% of total revenue since its release.
In the Japanese market, the game's performance has been particularly remarkable, becoming the second-largest revenue source, contributing 14% to its total earnings. Initially, daily spending in Japan was less than $1,000, but it surpassed $100,000 for the first time on August 5, peaking at $166,000 on September 10. Meanwhile, the Chinese market also performed well, contributing $3.6 million, or 19% of global spending during this period.
From an industry perspective, the success of Clash of Critters not only demonstrates the Japanese market's receptiveness to new games but also reflects the diversification trends in the global gaming market. With mobile game revenue projected to reach $121.1 billion in 2026, developers need to pay attention to market dynamics in different regions to formulate more effective marketing strategies.
